Scar Camouflage
-
Scar camouflage is a buildable service that requires a minimum of two sessions and can vary up to five or more depending on the contrast of your scars and how well the scar tissue responds to and retains ink. Depending on the color of your scars I use one of two techniques. For lighter scars I create a custom ink formula using permanent tattoo inks, color matched as closely as possible to your natural skin tone, and tattoo directly over the scar. For darker scars I use a neutralizing technique with permanent tattoo inks to soften and balance the discoloration.
-
Scars must be at least 6 months old and fully healed before we can begin treatment. If your scar is not yet fully healed we will need to wait longer regardless of age.
-
All kinds of scars including but not limited to surgical scars from mastectomy, tummy tuck, C-section, BBL, facelift and lipo, as well as scars from injuries, accidents and self-harm. Please note that keloided scars must be treated with steroid injections and fully flattened before camouflage can be performed.
-
Scar camouflage is designed to significantly improve the appearance of your scars, not eliminate them entirely. If you look closely, especially on textured scars, some visibility may remain. That said, results are often dramatic and genuinely life-changing.
-
Because we create a completely custom pigment blend to match your natural skin tone, it is essential that you are not tanned at the time of treatment. Please come in as close to your natural skin color as possible.
-
After the 60-day healing period your skin will tan naturally. The camouflaged areas will remain the color they were when treated and will not tan. The contrast between your tanned skin and the treated areas will actually be less noticeable than it was before treatment.
-
Results last an average of 5 years or more depending on sun exposure, skin type and adherence to aftercare instructions. Keep in mind that scar tissue does not retain ink as well as healthy skin, so results can vary from person to person and touch-ups may be needed sooner for some clients.
-
The inks I use are of the highest quality, sourced from reputable manufacturers with a long history of safe use. While tattoo inks are not directly FDA-approved, the manufacturers are regulated to ensure safety.

Areola & Nipple Tattoos
-
At least 6 months after your last breast reconstruction surgery and with doctor clearance. If you experienced complications, had radiation, or your breast tissue and scars do not appear fully healed we will wait longer. I understand this can be frustrating, but your safety is always my priority. Tattooing too soon, even with doctor clearance, can result in additional scarring and poor ink retention.
-
An areola tattoo avoids additional surgery and new scarring, offers an easier healing process, and allows for fine detail and color work that surgery simply cannot achieve. Surgical nipple reconstructions also tend to flatten over time whereas tattoos maintain their appearance.
-
We typically complete your areola and nipple tattoos in two sessions, scheduled 7 to 10 weeks apart. This gives your skin the time it needs to heal beautifully between visits. The first session lays the foundation and the second is where we refine, add detail and perfect everything. In some instances, if the breast tissue is too thin or sensitive, we may need to work more slowly and complete your results over additional sessions. I want your experience to feel safe and comfortable every step of the way, and taking our time is always worth it.
-
In most cases this service is relatively pain-free, as the breasts are often numb following surgery. Every person's experience is different though, and some sensitivity may still be present in certain areas. If needed, a secondary numbing agent can be applied during the session to keep you as comfortable as possible. Your comfort matters deeply to me and we will always go at a pace that feels right for you.
-
In some instances yes, but it depends on how saturated the previous work is and what color it has faded into over time. Please reach out and submit a photo in advance so I can assess what we are working with and determine if I can help you.
-
We will start by sitting down together to discuss size, placement, nipple style and color. For a unilateral mastectomy we match the natural areola as closely as possible. For a bilateral mastectomy we discuss placement, shape and size and draw everything on to create balance and symmetry. Once you approve the design we begin. Sessions typically take 1.5 to 3 hours. You will go home with an aftercare kit and written instructions, and before you leave we will schedule your second session. I want you to feel informed, comfortable and cared for from the moment you walk in.
-
Absolutely. Your safety and comfort are everything to me. I provide a private, clean and sterile environment and use disposable needles and equipment for every single appointment. You will never have to worry about that here.
-
This is a question I hear often and I want you to know it is a completely valid one — especially for anyone who has already been through a cancer journey. The inks I use are of the highest quality, sourced from reputable manufacturers with a long history of safe use. While tattoo inks are not directly FDA-approved, the manufacturers are regulated to ensure safety.
As for cancer risk, there is currently no scientific evidence that tattoo inks cause cancer. It is also worth considering that in our daily lives we are exposed to countless chemicals through food, skincare, household products and the environment — many of which carry far greater documented risks. That said, I never want to minimize your concern. If you have specific health considerations or are currently under a doctor's care, I always encourage you to have that conversation with your physician before booking. Your peace of mind matters just as much as your results.
PMU Lightening & Removal
-
Saline lightening works through the process of osmosis. A specialized saline solution is tattooed over the existing pigment, drawing the ink to the surface of the skin where it naturally lifts away as the skin heals. It is important that scabs are kept dry and allowed to fall off naturally — please do not pick them as this can affect your results.
-
I use Li-FT Saline Lightening Solution — a non-chemical, non-acid, high salt-based solution made with sea salt, lemon seed extract, orange seed extract, aloe vera and sterile water. It is certified vegan and safe for all skin tones and ink colors.
-
Saline lightening may require up to 10 sessions for older or more saturated PMU, with a minimum of 8 weeks between sessions. Results are progressive — each session brings the pigment closer to the surface until it lifts out. Patience is key with this process and I will be with you every step of the way.
-
Complete removal cannot be guaranteed as results depend on many variables including ink depth, color and skin type. However significant fading is achieved in most cases and with each session we work toward the lightest and cleanest result possible. If faster results are your priority, laser treatments tend to work more quickly than saline lightening. We can discuss which option may be best suited for your specific situation during your consultation.
-
Emergency removal is for clients who have had permanent makeup applied within the last 48 hours and are unhappy with the results. Using the same osmosis process we work quickly to lift as much freshly implanted pigment as possible while the ink is still fresh. Please contact me immediately after your procedure — time is absolutely critical with this service.
-
Typically 1 to 2 sessions if performed within 48 hours. If more than 48 hours have passed we must wait 8 weeks before beginning standard saline lightening treatments. Please keep in mind that complete removal is not guaranteed but we will do everything possible to give you a better result
